TELLConsult joined TELLOP Project

TELLConsult joined the EU project TELL-OP.


We gladly support this initiative as it focuses on two themes which we consider highly relevant (and yet still, IMO, underestimated) for language learning: Data Driven Learning (DDL) paired -in this day and age - to the potential of Mobile Language learning (MALL).
​To get informed about the project's aims and recent outputs,  get to know the colleagues involved personally and so also help to start and support collaboration with the iTILT project I also registered for their first multiplier event in July.
It is a full day workshop entitled:

TELLConsult and partners offer a number of courses on CLIL methodology and the integration of educational technology in language education both for beginners and more experienced users.

Topics include the use of tablets, interactive whiteboards, digital video and applications for specific objectives such as the development of speaking skills.

Also for teachers of other subjects we are proud to offer a course with Sara Hennessy (Cambridge University) on promoting interaction and dialogue in the classroom with the help of the interactive whiteboard.

EU project CAMELOT presented at Dutch Informatics Conference 'NIOC 2015'

On April 13 we presented the paper '3D Video Producties Toepassingen voor het talenonderwijs' at the bi-annual NIOC conference in Enschede, the Netherlands.

In our presentation we introduced the EU project ‘CreAting Machinima Empowers Live Online Language Teaching and Learning (CAMELOT) and the educational potential of videos shot in 3D environments for (language) education in general and Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in particular.

TELLConsult concluded training activities for EU project on Interactive Whiteboards

TELLConsult's contribution to the Tabula Alba project was completed in the third week of April.


This EU project was targeted at supporting the use of the interactive whiteboard for dialogic teaching & learning.
To this end a group of teachers of various disciplines in regions both in Turkey and Poland were trained.
A 5-day, multilingual workshop concluded the 4-week training programme in the course of the project's 2-year lifetime. This final course was run in Balikesir. Turkey.

Recording of webinar on EU IWB projects available
On 27 Feb we ran a webinar to present the outcomes of 3 EU projects addressing teacher competences development related to Intractive Whiteboard (IWB)-supported teaching and learning. Having been involved in two of these projects (iTILT and SmartVET) as a partner and as trainer in IWB course developed by the CPDlab project, part of the iTEC project 'Designing the Future Classroom' run by the European Schoolnet, we presented the resources and training materials

On behalf of TELLConsult Ton Koenraad has been very active in the first half of 2013 disseminating (interim) results of the projects his consultancy is involved in. See his activities listed below: 

  • We presented the paper 'NL approaches and instruments to promote integration of ICT in (teacher) education' at the ISNITE 2013 Conference in Ankara, Turkey. 


    Haceteppe University students volunteered to make the conference organisation to a success. As this pic - taken after the conference dinner- testifies time and energy was spent on making guests feel welcome!

Thanks to introductions from Adriaan Mocke, Board director of the Olyfkrans College in Swellendam (see picture on the right here) 

I could visit Hoërskool Swellendam and Swellendam Senior Sekondere Skool.

Representing the Anglia Europe Network and the English for Kids Foundation (EFKF) my mission was to explore project development opportunities for both these organisations. 

At Swellendam secondary school I spoke to the principal, Mr. Adonis, and the head of the English Language Department, Ms James. 

They were interested in both ventures and wanted to set up an EFKF-facilitated, pilot

TELLConsult contributed plenary presentation to EU project ETALAGE conference

On behalf of TELLConsult I contributed a presentation, entitled 'Task-supported language teaching and technology-enhanced learning'  to the final meeting of the EU project ETALAGE in Budapest. (more on this below) 

 
 

The fourth and final meeting / Conference of the Etalage project took place in Budapest from Sunday the 9th of October until Thursday the 13th of October 2011. Eötvös Lorand University and Madách Imre Gimnázium, Budapest, hosted the event for colleagues and their guests from 9 European countries.

TELLConsult contributed keynote to the 2011 English for Kids conference

On the occasion of the European Day of Languages 2011 EFKF, the English for Kids Foundation, organized 2 days of English in Action. 


Friday 23 September was reserved for the EFKF Kids World Games, Saturday 24 September for the International Support & Teach Conference. 

Both events took place on University College Utrecht Campus and were financially supported by the European Platform.

Various volunteers presented information on the EFKF projects in India, South Africa and Ukraine they were or had been involved in.
